IMPROVING WRITING ABILITY THROUGH COOPERATIVE INTEGRATED READING AND COMPOSITION (CIRC)

AbstractThe study is aimed at improving the students’ writing ability in using Group Discussion and Cooperative Integrated Reading Composition (CIRC) models of Learning Strategy. The employs Collaborative Classroom Action Research design. subjects are 5 students fourth semester English Department Kutai Kartanegara University 2021-2022. result this shows that strategy with effective ability. In pretest, average score achievement was 4.15 on a 1.00 to 6.00 scale. Five obtained ‘poor’ level. After implemented, class Cycle 1 increased slightly 4.65. 2, 5.04, all achieved criteria success. Keywords: ability, cooperative learning, Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan menulis mahasiswa dalam Bahasa Inggris dengan menggunakan model strategi pembelajaran Cooperatif dan Composition. Peneliti desain Tindakan Kelas Kolaboratif subjek penelitian adalah 4 Prodi pendidikan Universitas tahun ajaran Hasil menunjukkan bahwa efektif siswa. Pretest sebelum penerapan ini, nilai rata-rata prestasi siswa 4,15 pada skala 1,00 sampai 6,00. Lima memperoleh tingkat 'buruk'. Setelah Learning, kelas Siklus meningkat tipis menjadi 4,65.
